New Year New Me

Having a unique experience of changing schools during a crucial time in a growing teenager's life has given me a very helpful insight on what to expect in the future. I carried my old customs with me into my new school and left with a more mature view of the world with a desire to tackle the next stage in my adolescent life which was High School. High School was like changing schools all over again, but this time I was ready and knew what to expect. I was nervous at first but I was also determined incorporate what I learned into my high school experience and make a change within the high school itself. I entered more clubs, participated in community service, took music classes, made different kinds of friends and became involved in my school. Everything I have done was to prepare me for college in order to make the best of what is to come. I am ready to take the next big step in my life and I am certain that my experiences will contribute to the diversity of the college life. As another year begins, so does the dreaded month known as January. The month of cold weather, dark days, darker nights and paying for your pint in pennies (we’ve all been there!). But one of the worst (or best) things about the new year is all those resolutions. Like Facebook users everywhere, my newsfeed has been crammed full of people resolving left, right and centre, from the standard weight loss plans, to those ‘I must work harder at uni/work/school’ types. I can only imagine gyms all over England are full of new members, kitted out in the most prestigious gym wear, clutching their ‘Slim-Fast’ milkshakes in a not-so-secret plan to slim down for summer. I have always been rubbish at keeping resolutions of any sort. The only resolution I have ever kept is the one I make every single year… Not to make any pointless resolutions that I know I will not keep. Even the year I resolved, aged 14, to watch a ‘Friends’ episode every day resulted in me eventually hating what had been my favourite TV show, and cringing every time I heard the familiar tones of that opening title sequence. But this year is going to be different. This will be the year I actually stick to my resolutions (and yes, I am aware I’m eight days late in this decision – but no one is perfect!).

Essence of Christmas

Christmas meaning is expressed differently by different people. For many people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They may not be financially stable and therefore may not have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family, and friends. Many are saddened at Christmastime when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home for various reasons. They may have lost their loved ones at this time of year. They may be alone and have no one in this world to keep them company not even in this special season. Others make it an occasion to spend more on unnecessary gifts or an excuse to drink and party more.The meaning of Christmas is what you make it. Using the time to be with each other, making Christ the center of your Christmas celebrations and to give attention instead of presents is more important. Apart from being a celebration of Jesus Christ, Christmas is a time of peace and love. Christmas has not lost its meaning, we have lost it. The meaning is still there for those who seek it.It is about giving not receiving anything....it also is the day Jesus was born.

Equal Rights Equal Oppurtunities

Everybody has the right to love who they want. It is part of their rights as a living being, especially as an Pilipino. Every Pilipino` is given the right to Life, Love, and the Persuit of Happiness. Why should that be changed based on a person's sexuality? Also, the main argument used against it is the 'God' argument. But Pilipino has a separation of church and state. Marriage is a legal ceremony, not religious. Therefore the Bible and 'God said so' excuse has no real place in this debate. Everybody deserves to marry who they love. And if it helps our economy, well that's just fine too. And that's exactly what legalizing gay marriage would do Everybody deserves to be with who they love. And who are you to say they can’t, when you’ll never even be effected by it? If you were to see a homosexual on the street you wouldn’t even know it. If they were married or in a relationship with another person of the same gender, you wouldn’t know. The same as you wouldn’t know with a straight person. JUST LIKE a heterosexual. They are no different. And if they are given the right to marry just as the rest of people it won’t change that. It still won’t effect you. You still won’t have to know or care. Everybody deserves to love who they want and marry who they love. And nobody, not the church, not the government, not some random homophobic pig on the street, has the right to take that from them. We are all equal people, we all deserve equal rights.

How Can We Respond to the Climate Change?

       When we heard the word climate what comes to our mind? For me climate is the regular weather conditions of an area over a long period. Here in the Philippines climate change is one of the major problems. How can we solve it? How can every people respond or help to this problem?

          Climate change is a major problem not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world. We all now encounter many problems like Global Warming and Greenhouse Effect. We must solve this for we must save the Mother Earth. We live here so we must save it. We can solve this by helping each other. We must avoid using some things or chemicals that causes Greenhouse Effect or Global Warming. I hope we can solve this problem.

          I know it is hard to solve this but if we cooperate we can easily solve it.

“REFLECTION”

                

             This Second grading it is just like the first grading,it is all about the computer. In computer the longer you spent in studying the more you discover the things or the secrets about it. That’s why one of my favourite subjects is ICT.

This second grading it is more interesting because I studied about creating the Html. HTML is the mark-up language used for creating documents on the World Wide Web.  For me second grading is more enjoyable because our teacher taught us about the HTML files and tags. My learning’s or skill about the computer increase because of it. But sometimes I encounter some problems but the help of my teacher and classmates I solve my problems.  Thanks to my teachers and my classmates for helping me to learn about the HTML. Now my skills or learning’s about the computer increases and I hope this coming 3^rd grading my skills about the computer increased.

 This is all i studied about second grading and it is all about the HTML and i hope this learning's stay on me. Thank You!!! 

Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy

           

What is Scientricity for you?  For me it is the study of physical and natural based on observation and experiment. This is the combination of science and electricity.

            Some of the people say that science is the key to success and electricity has the ability to power it. If we combine that two it will be a better future or brighter tomorrow to the world.  Our world will progress because of scientricity.  If we use this scientricity we can conserve  Here is a description of the transformation of energy as a pole-vaulter completes a jump. Firstly, when the pole-vaulter runs forward the muscles in the legs are doing work as a result of energy to push him/her forward. As the pole digs into the ground and stops, the forward motion of the runner causes the pole to bend, giving it elastic potential energy. If the pole-vaulter were to let go of the pole at this point, the pole release upwards rapidly. As he/she jumps off the ground, it slowly releases the elastic potential energy of the pole and transforms it into kinetic energy, forcing the pole-vaulter upward and forward. If he/she jumps too early, there would not be enough elastic potential energy created to force him/her over the bar. Also if the pole-vaulter doesn’t run fast enough, there will not be the required kinetic energy to force him/her forward over the bar. It is important for all people to realize the need for conserving energy.
