Everybody has the
right to love who they want. It is part of their rights as a living being,
especially as an Pilipino. Every Pilipino` is given the right to Life, Love,
and the Persuit of Happiness. Why should that be changed based on a person's
sexuality? Also, the main argument used against it is the 'God' argument. But Pilipino
has a separation of church and state. Marriage is a legal ceremony, not
religious. Therefore the Bible and 'God said so' excuse has no real place in
this debate. Everybody deserves to marry who they love. And if it helps
our economy, well that's just fine too. And that's exactly what legalizing gay
marriage would do Everybody deserves to be with who they love. And who
are you to say they can’t, when you’ll never even be effected by it? If you
were to see a homosexual on the street you wouldn’t even know it. If they were
married or in a relationship with another person of the same gender, you
wouldn’t know. The same as you wouldn’t know with a straight person. JUST LIKE
a heterosexual. They are no different. And if they are given the right to marry
just as the rest of people it won’t change that. It still won’t effect you. You
still won’t have to know or care. Everybody deserves to love who they want and
marry who they love. And nobody, not the church, not the government, not some
random homophobic pig on the street, has the right to take that from them. We
are all equal people, we all deserve equal rights.
